What is he trying to say?

so my crush and i are slight friends. we finally have a cl together! and we were igned a FCS project and got to choose partners. the second the teacher said so, he ran at the speed of light and grabbed me saying: "you're with me haze!" i was ecstatic and we agreed to meet up at the park to work on it. when we were at the park, we started talking. i was kind of upset because i dyed my hair the day before and no one noticed. but i noticed he wouldn't stop staring at me so i asked him what he was looking at. he said my hair looked different. i was surprised and asked how. he took my hand and got really close to me. our foreheads were pressed against each other, almost kissing. but not :/ anyway, he said: hazel, you're beautiful. then we pulled away and 20 minutes later, i took of my hoodie and put it down. he took it and ran like 4 yards away. i ran after him and saw he tripped over something. he was ok and laughing. i yelled: "HAHA Jake, give my hoodie back!" he said: "Then come down here and get it!" so i bent over and he pulled me on top of him and we were, once again, extremely close. he kissed me on my forehead! :D <3 i had a hummingbird heartbeat! then we got started on the project and stayed serious for the rest of the day. next day, he always smiled when i looked his way, and he mentioned nothing about what happened. i'm really confused. he has a girlfriend but their relationship is really on/off. i really like him, but he is always so puzzling! ! i hope he's not cheating on his girlfriend because i've been cheated on before, it's not fun :/ so guys reading this, what the hell is he doing?
