What is my hometown??

I was born in Oakland, California but lived in the nearby city of Alameda. My dad was in the military so I've lived in 7 places. What is considered my hometown, place of birth or what? If so would it be the town I was born in (Oakland) or city I was living in when my parents brought me home from the hospital (Alameda)?
