Can my roommate technically be sued?

She and i got into a fight like 2 weeks ago over my cats playing in coconut in the middle of the night. We haven't talked since then. All of a sudden she lost her mp3 player a week ago and sometime within a month of using her digital camera she lost that as well (but just noticed it 2 days ago missing) and then she couldn't find her guitar music book. she called all her friends and her mom and boyfriend and sister and told them that i am the one stealing her things. why in the hell would i take her stuff. i don't like her but i'm not going to stoop that low and just take things that aren't mine. can she get sued for slander by telling people that she is accusing me of stealing when there is no proof of anything at all??
