Why would he do this?

My kids dad took off on my child when she was2 and has beeen gone for 6 years without even a card to her. . he has since left two other women pregnant in diff towns (he moves a lot and not for work) He fits all of the characteristics of a sociopath to a t. .he has tortured me from time to time. saying we are soul mates . . never asking abut my child the whole time. She has attempted to talk to him via computer and through text although she was askin him questions too like why did u leave me when i was 2. . I know he has no car. . he usually doesnt. . but dang what is the deal.. does he truly have no consciouis ? I called her grampa. . hes never sent a card either yet says he loves her and has talked to her a few times. . her dad only calls his family if someone dies or he needs a place to stay or money. . He has this trail of destruction in his past and is now back home and now her grampa wont talk to my child either because her dad is there i guess. . . what is wrong with her dad?? No conscious?? Sociopath????????
