What Type of Bird is This?
Hi, my Nan and Grandad saw some type of bird in their garden a while back, and it is not in the British Wildlife book (has all birds seen in Britain and some in Ireland). It was multi coloured, with reds and blues and greens and blacks etc, and was bigger than a seagull (the ones that look like this) :a href="http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://homepages.enterprise.net/hyland/maps/northwest/06_sea_gull.jpg&imgrefurl=http://sizpic4.bloguez.com/sizpic4/1761687/sea-gull&usg=__XpGNmBKjPU2R6poOMDt8SK3AN_8=&h=528&w=704&sz=54&hl=en&start=0&zoom=1&tbnid=pGY4EVNBqMtm_M:&tbnh=120&tbnw=192&ei=yCaYTbeOIMPOtAbj_6m1CA&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dseagull%26hl%3Den%26biw%3D1280%26bih%3D709%26gbv%3D2%26tbm%3Disch&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=307&vpy=255&dur=291&hovh=194&hovw=259&tx=117&ty=141&oei=yCaYTbeOIMPOtAbj_6m1CA&page=1&ndsp=26&ved=1t:429,r:7,s:0" rel="nofollow"http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http…/a they think it might have been someone's pet, so it could have been some sort of exotic bird. What type of bird was it? (It wasn't a parrot!) Many thanks! x
