Grandmother fell down stairs need tips?

A couple of days ago my grandmother was going to the basement to get some clothes out of the washer, and she fell down the stairs but she caught herself a little. She went down a couple stairs on her , but other than that she is ok. My grandmother complains about her ankle which is okay. But, it is swelled a big amount over the last few days. Her ankle is nothing compared to her backside (or her ). On her crack there is a heart-shaped bruise. She has trouble sitting, walking, etc. I need tips on how to keep her swelling down, and how to make her feel better. I already no to put ice on her troubled areas and that she needs to sit down. 5 month old cough...serious or not?

My daughter has had a cold that started this past weekend. Her cough is really worrying me. I could be just a first time mom with lots of worries, but it gets pretty bad. I thought it was whooping cough, but I'm not sure. I'll be taking her in as soon as I can get an appt, but I was wondering if I should be going in sooner. She has an occasional cough like a cold, which is exactly what it seems like, but every now and then she gets a coughing fit where it takes her a bit before she can breathe. It's maybe 10 seconds or less of coughing. She turns red from the exertion, but she's never turned blue or purple from lack of oxygen. Could this maybe be bronchitis or something? I am also sick, but I just have a standard cold. Just stuffy is all. Anything I can do to help her in the mean time?

Wrist pain when turning left or right?

I was doing mitt punching for a couple of weeks, then I got a heavy bag to hit. I did that for 2 days, and on the second day I threw a hook to the body and my wrist felt almost broken. I could still punch, but twisting motions were out. So I gave it 3 weeks of no use, no punching anything, and it did no good. Currently it still hurts when I try to lift certain objects, and twisting to the right or left hurts. Basically I can still throw hooks and uppers, but straight punches cannot be done. Does anyone have an idea of what I have done to my wrists or how I could fix them?

I would say that some of it has to do with laziness. People don't want to go exercise and would rather stay home and watch t.v. Also people don't want to cook and fast food is fast and it's cheap and a lot of people don't have very much money right now. And come on, we all know how much better a giant hamburger from mcdonalds and fries, large sweet tea and all of it for less then $5 and 5 minutes sounds then going home having to spend 30 minutes cooking and eating vegetables and everything. I don't agree with this of course, since I think that most people could eat better. Some people say that it has to do with being depressed and food making it better and stuff.

If you're making your own, you should use a gl for the panclette, this works better than paper and slides around easier. Try taping the board down as well, because the gl will drag the board. You have everything you need to put on the board. Just use sharpie so you can see it well. And make sure when you're making the board that you put paper beneath so the marker doesn't bleed through. African Grey... Possible crop damage?

Canned vegetables are not good, as one of the other answererers mentioned...but my reason for saying that is not just lack of nutrition, but too much salt. Also, don't use frozen veggies and microwave them, because microwaving destroys so much of the nutrition. A lot of raw veggies is good, as a little well-cooked protein such as beans. I also plan on using some pellet food next month. Now, I feed my 2 year old Congo plenty of fresh veggies like baby carrots, baby spinach, a little fruit like banana, a little nuts and seeds, and even some cooked cereal, with iron, like farina.

Christians, how would you define a "true Christian"? How does it differ from a regular Christian?

All Christians are christians if they believe that God sent his son to die for us and that he rose again in 3 days and will take us to heaven (If you believe on him). However, some christians serve God more because they don't get distracted by the world and it's music,tv, ect. It's hard to be as committed as the 1st century church (Paul, ect.), but a "true Christian" as you call it is willing to serve God no matter what he/she has to give up because God is worth it.

I am a single, first-time homebuyer and am curious how much I should expect to pay per month for homeowner's insurance. My home budget is $100k and under; I will likely purchase a foreclosure and/or condo/townhouse. I have been steadily employed at the bank where I work for 3 years, have no debt aside from credit cards which I usually pay in full every month, and my FICO is 719. I think you are jumping the gun and I don't really see how adding any of these guys will help you. Rice may not reach 100 percent until next season. Ford and Ajirotutu had big games for the first time this season, and when looking at their yardage total you have to consider the fact that it's an illusion. One had a long reception of 55yards and the other a long of 47yards. Also when Gates returns to the Chargers Ajirotutu will go back to being mediocre. Nate Burleson is good for an occasional score, and that's just when Megatron is doubled up. If you do drop anybody I would go with dropping Williams for Rice.

MY MALE 2year old PITBULL is sick!?

I have noticed that my pitbull hasnt been acting himself lately. He is still a tad bit playful...occasionally drinks water and hasnt eaten all of his food but out of 100% is only eating about 20-30% of his food. just now he threw up. In his vomit there was 2 strings of gr and i guess a bit of his left over food. Overall his vomit was white. Seconds after he threw up he started trembling. Yesterday he threw up about 4 times when i took him outside he ran played just had a little bit of dark diarhhea. I called my vet but her office is closed. What is a fast, reliable, car for under 4k?

I'm looking to buy a fast, reliable, sporty car(preferably coupe but sedans work too, just as long as they have a low center of gravity) for under 4k or 5k. This will be my seventh car( though i have never been in an accident) so don't worry about safety i have plenty experience. I've already had hondas and i'm not really into them(apart from the prelude) they come across as teenager cars. I really like sharp steering and sensitive pedals. Some cars i do like are: Nissan 300zx and 240sx, Infiniti G20, Toyota Mr2, most acuras, Saab 9-3 turbo, and hardtop Mazda Miatas( kinda outta my price range though). My favorite one is probably the 300zx but its not so reliable and i cant afford another money draining and time consuming car. Why can't my baby fall asleep without nursing?

I have a 1 month old and he can't seem to fall asleep without nursing or sucking his pacifier. We bathe him and then I try to feed him one last time before 'bedtime' and he always falls asleep. As soon as I go to move him he is awake and cries. The only thing that seems to work to other than sucking something is if we put him in his swing. I just don't want to have him dependent on his swing to put him to sleep either. What should I do?

I often wonder about our judicial system and how man can commit another life to prison indefinately....?

I have often entertained the thought about how our judicial is set up. Why do we have governments with regualr men and women who have the capabilites to tell another human being that they will be sentenced to, lets just say, 20 years for stealing. I have been like this my entire life. All of my friends are minorities, and always have been. Does anybody know how to "lock" fonts in a doent?

I don't have a printer so I'm going to print the doent (a brochure) in school. I used downloaded fonts that aren't installed in my school's computer. I can't install the fonts to the computers there either, since you have to log in an administrator's account to install stuff. I know there's an option where the fonts get "saved" and "locked" together with the doent. Just don't know how to do it. Please help!

I have horrible parents, but im not sure of how to escape?

basically im 19 years old i suffer from depression low self esteem and anxiety etc, i started seeing a councler a few months ago and she says that my parents are the cause for alot of my troubles, im starting to see what shes saying, to be blunt my father has beaten my mother for the last 20 odd years but aside from being a psychopathic wife beater, he never lies is incredibly hardworking, and really doesnt give a **** what people think ( which is good and bad i guess) and is also a goodlooking guy of whome i was lucky enough to inherit his looks, my mum is a thief and a lyer and has been to jail for fraud, shes stolen money off me , when i was younger she took my laptop and sold it, she told me she went to get it repaired, later when i found out the truth she said she was scared my dad was going to beat her, i knew this wasnt true because she remortgaged our house twice and was in debt for hundreds of thousends of pounds, which my dad never knew, and she has put my brothers and dad on the street twice, the second time it was a snow day to! my mum however loves my brothers and i she cooks for us and works hard, even if she does feel sorry for her self alot, this is just a small idea of how they are, one of the worst things i think my mum has told me was a few days before i started highschool she said that all my friends mothers specifically aasked for there kids not to be in the same cl as me ( i dont know if this is actually true) i mean it was so long ago, but i was crushed at the time, and i cant help but think if it was in fact true and if she did care, she would have hidden it from me, as i would have been to young to understand. ever since i was a child i would stand in between my parents and fend of my dad attacking my mum, a few months ago, my mum provoked my dad to the point where i had to pin him to the wall, i punched him, and he now has a deep permanent scar across his chin, i felt horrible at the time, but now i feel that he deserved it, my mum however believes that i should feel guilty! my question is this, do i have any reason to return to these people once i leave for uni, aside from my brothers? i mean like i said my dads a thug but hes a hardworker, i mean he just disconected the fireplace heater and put in my room because i have no insulation. lol i really have a ****** up life writing this its clearer.

We are both fairly ipod savvy (not experts, but we know a bit more than the basics) but even though we did a specific wedding playlist it still didn't sound quite "right". We had a friend operate the ipod and thought we timed it well but it sounded kind of tinny.

Use silver solder to solder it together. Make sure that it does not have lead in it. Solders are still sold in the us that are made from lead and you do not want these for what you are doing. The other method is brazing the parts together. It takes hotter temperatures to do this work though but it will be much more long lasting and strong. Google brazing for more info.

Is lower abdominal burning a sign that I'm ovulating?

I only had a one day period this month on the 14th of April. My periods aren't regular, and I've been off the pill (noraday) for 2 months now as my husband and I are TTC. I've already done two pregnancy tests and they were both negative, so I'm not preggers(they were a week apart) But today I've had this burning sensation in my lower abdomin, where I would normally feel period cramps. It's painfull but bearable, and according to all the sites that I've checked, I'm not experiencing any ovulating signs. I don't normally monitor my fertile days, seeing as my husband and I have agreed to just let it happen when it does, but if I work out my days since my one day period, I should be ovulating today? My husband and I did have a rather busy 'baby making' weekend, but even if I did ovulate early, It would be to soon to 'feel' any early signs of conception. I've never felt this burning sensation before and it's not a bladder infection either. Everything in that 'department' is normal. Does anyone else get this burning sensation when ovulating?

How do I get my dog to stop whining?

Whenever I leave the house my dog always screams bloody murder. He is 1 1/2 now and I was uming that he would get used to us leaving as he grew up, but nothing has gotten better. The only way to keep him quiet is to give him treats before we leave, but according to neighbors it starts up (presumably) as he is done with the treat. It is also still a problem with him in the car, even if you are doing something simple like filling gas and are right outside the vehicle. How do I help stop this?

Ok so there has been a few events in my life that seem "supernatural" i would like to say at this point that i dont believe in god, only due to when people ram religion down your throats so if you wana say "it was god who did it" then fine just dont expect me to believe it :) but basically i had a dog who i loved very much, and if you have ever experienced your dogs death you will realise how painfull and how it can make you depressed, anyways he got to an age of about 14/15 years, he became extrememly ill at the begginning of 2008, we took him to the vet on the 9th of january 2008, when he came back i was amazed and thanked...something i dont know what or who or if i thanked anyone, but i thanked them for him not being put down by the vet. The vet said it was extremly unlikely for him to live for 3 months, he predicted that he would die by three weeks time, i spent the whole day of the 9th january 2008 lying next to him, stroking him, being with him and crying becuase i thought he was going to die in a couple of weeks. I asked, i asked for "just one more year" i dont know who i asked at all but i asked it, and it was truly the only thing i wanted to happen in the world, nothing else was a precious as that one extra year, i didnt say this out loud, nobody heard me, nobody knew i asked for one more year apart from me, amazingly my parents took my dog to the vet the next year, he made it until 2009...but the weird and strange thing was, he died on the 9th of january 2009! exactly one year after the vet predicted three weeks, and i didnt have anything to do with letting him be put down at the vet, my parents did it when i was at school, when i came back and was told, my heart ripped in two, they didnt realise it was the same date, but at the vet they realised and pointed it out to my parents that it was exactly one year after the time before he had been in, i find this insanely unlikely and i ***** believe it happened has anyone else expereinced something like this at all? if so please share, i think if we truly 100% want something more than anything and ask somebody/ something for it, it will happen, whether we realise anything has happned is down to us :)
